Last week we went to Lucknow to attend an event.
Lucknow is a beautiful place. It is capital of Uttar Pradesh. It is the largest city in Uttar Pradesh, the eleventh most populous city and the twelfth most populous urban agglomeration of India. Lucknow has always been known as a multicultural city that flourished as a North Indian cultural and artistic hub, and the seat of power of Nawabs in the 18th and 19th centuries. It continues to be an important centre of governance, administration, education, commerce, aerospace, finance, pharmaceuticals, technology, design, culture, tourism, music and poetry.
In this city there are many beautiful places like Clock Tower, Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Ambedkar Memorial Park and Saharaganj Mall. Rumi Darwaza is also there.
The best place I liked the most was Ambedkar Memorial Park. It is a public park and memorial in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. It is more formally known as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Prateek Sthal and is also referred to simply as “Ambedkar Park”. The park honors the lives and memories of Jyotirao Phule, Narayana Guru, Birsa Munda, Shahuji Maharaj, Bhimrao Ambedkar, Kanshi Ram and all those who’ve devoted their life for humanity, equality and social justice. The memorial was constructed by Mayawati, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, during her administration.
My little sis Anayah enjoyed a lot there. There is a restaurant called ‘Sheroes Hangout’, a cafe run by acid attack survivors. We attended an event called ‘mic & manch‘ at Sheroes Hangout. In this event talents of Lucknow city has come up and shown their talents.
There is a zoo, popularly known as ‘Lucknow Zoo’. There are many types of Deer, birds, snakes. Their is a monkey name ‘Hukku Bandar’. When we say Hukku, he alos say Hukku. We saw giraffe at Lucknow Zoo.
Three days we enjoyed a lot. Soon we will visit again. 🙂
